AMP - A measurement for electrical current.
Artefacts - Unwanted visible effects in the picture created by errors in the video processing or noise/interference in analog circuits. Common artefacts include 'edge crawl' or 'hanging dots' in analog pictures or 'blockiness', noise or 'contouring' in digital pictures.
Color Separation - The electronic or photographic process of separating a single RGB color image into the three subtractive primary colors CMY plus K (black) that will be used for reproduction. These four monochrome films are used to produce the plates in four color printing.

Jack - A female connector.
NAM - Number Assignment Module. A computer chip that is programmed to contain information specific to your cellular phone, such as its phone number, lock code, system identification number (SID) and other important information necessary for call validation and billing. Some cellular telephones offer dual- or multi-nam capabilities, allowing cellular customers to operate as a local customer in more than one cellular service area.
SDTV - (standard definition TV) - SDTV is 480i, which is approximately the resolution of NTSC and DVDs.
Theater Modes - Preset picture characteristics formulated for specific programming types (e.g., News, Movies, Sports, Music). Theater Mode presets can be customized by the viewer.
YPrPb - Color representation requires three independent variables. CRTs - prefer red, green, and blue. Ink jet printers prefer yellow, magenta, and cyan. NTSC encodes color as luminance (brightness), hue (color), and saturation (absence of white in colors). Storage media such as DVDs prefer Y, Pr, and Pb, where Y is luminance, Pr is Y-red, and Pb is Y-blue. This is because Pr and Pb can be at lower resolution and not degrade the image noticeably, thus saving storage space.
xD-Picture Card - Released in Early 2002 by Olympus and Fuji, xD-Picture Card is the newest digital camera memory format. Physically smaller than all other memory formats, and available (as of 5/03) in sizes up to 256MB, the xD-Picture Card appears poised to replace the older SmartMedia format.
