Haven't hooked up to pending new HDTV yet but listened to the Sony system through direct iPod connection. Have been an audiophile for over 30 years and this equipment rivals my cherished Adcom/JBL sound system. This only ports to microsoft windows using provided software and not portable to other formats. Even worse only still photos using memory stick will transfer to Mac. So don't do as I did and record your entire ski vacation to find out you can not transfer to a MAC and use with Final Cut Pro. Update; Turns out this little handy cam will transfer to final cut pro on the mac. So I increased the Rating to 4 start. There may be other ways to transfer. I opened iMovie first. Havn't tried the phone yet, but it sounds great with my laptop. I followed the directions and paired the two then set the sound default to the "Blue tooth headset" If you have audio going you must close it then reopen for it to switch to the new device. Linked to the phone the bluetooth connection is flawless and easy. Sound reproduction is very good for such small drivers. Bass is as expected not great. For the 80ish dollars I spent I was, and am very pleased. However, when linked to my laptop for Media Player use or internet radio there is an irritating linking issue.
