WE wanted a nice TV stand, but nothing that would leave us broke and wondering why we made the decision... :) - The Z-Line fit the bill. It was used for our 46" Sharp Aquos, which is piano black but blends in nicely with this stand being that the shelves are all glass. Maybe it is because I installed it on my old PC. It handles writing very well. It handles some pictures very well but not if it is too close to the writing.
